1. The Sahara desert.

In this set of materials, the reading passage explained some of the characteristics that the Sahara desert has today
and the listening passage explained how it looked in the past until to be the longest dessert in the world.
    This desert is the largest one in the world, and it is similar in size to the United States with aproximatelly ) million kilometers.
The Sahara has a dry climate, thus there is a few average of rain in a certain amount of time. In this desert rain is present once a century
 and some figures has showed that in a year the average of rain is only 10 centimeters. In the Sahara there is a river, which go through it,
The Nile River, besides some oases.
    10.000 years ago, the Sahara desert lokeed a quite different.It was a green area where it was the habitat of some animals, such as
elephants. In addition, animals were not the only ones which lived there,, but also it was populated by prehistoric people. With the pass of
the years, the Sahara desert came to dry out.


2. Polysemy.

In this set of materials, the reading passage provided a category of words called polysemy and the listening passage provided a subset
of words.
    In the reading passage was explained that polysemy is present in the English language and it  is when one word have different meanings.An example is the word "sound". it has
 some different meaning as a noun and at the same time it  has some different meaning as a verb.
    In the listening passage was explained that there is another group, a subset of polysemy. In this subset, a word has different meaning, but these different meanings
are opposite. Some examples are the word "bold", the word "fast" and the word "sanction".
